The Aaron Brooks Foundation (ABF) was formed December 19th 2009 to help children living in high-poverty and high-risk environments complete their education and become socially aware adults. ABF accomplishes its mission by promoting social enrichment, education and physical fitness. All while focusing on the key principles of team building, work ethic, commitment, perseverance and self-esteem.
ABF believes it is important to teach children about their bodies and how to properly take care of themselves. In a nation where almost 20% of children are overweight or obese, it is important to keep active. Group sports teach teamwork and team camaraderie, which helps children become more physically active and socially adept adults.
ABF conducts its activities in Houston, Texas, Seattle, WA, and Oregon. ABF accomplishes this primarily by building partnership will local community organizations that share ABF’s vision and goals. ABF hosts Charity Bowling tournaments, Charity Golf Tournaments, and Charity Basketball Camps.
